West Mono Lake

Field days – work on moraines, faults, shorelines, and deltas, colluvials.

Office day – interpret the relationships between moraines and faults; calculate the moving rates of faults by offsets from both sides of the moraines; figure out the relations (ages) between the forming of deltas, moraines and shorelines.

South Mono Lake

Field days – work on volcano structures, such as tephras, air fall beds, surge flows, pyroclastic flows and domes.

Office day – interpret the source of different air fall beds and flows by considering different thickness and the major wind directions; figure out the relations (ages) between the forming of different volcanoes.
